Our Founding Story
Our origin story is an essential part of who we are as a company, and we believe it makes us uniquely able to help school districts implement Handle With Care.
KnowtifyED was designed from our founder's experience at the Peoria Police Department. Working with community stakeholders for Violence Prevention, she realized that first responders had critical information on the occurrences of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) that could be useful for prevention efforts. After working to build several modules with the police record management system and gaining an understanding of how it worked, she intentionally created knowtifyED to send useful information to schools as quickly as possible while also alleviating any burden on the officer on scene.
